When did you know you wanted to be an actor?
I was 16 years old. I auditioned for my high school production of West Side Story (mainly because I heard they needed guys and I was curious about this whole acting thing) and I was cast as Bernardo; the leader of the Sharks. After that, I was hooked.
What attracted you to Re-Works: The Fabulous 80s?
I love working with Dev Bondarin (she directed me as Edgar in King Lear) and the sides were fantastic. I knew that if the play was anything as good as the scene we read for in auditions then we'd have a good show.
One guilty pleasure:
PEANUT BUTTER!!
If you could get anyone to see the show, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Harvey Fierstein. I think he'd get a kick out of it and I'd love to hear his laugh in the audience.
Don't miss Re-Works: The Fabulous 80s, part of MTWorks' BENEFIT WEEK, September 10-14, 2014 at The Theater at the 14th Street Y.
