Imagine an island in hell where Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, and Queen Victoria... wait for their men. What happens when women's lib icon Anaïs Nin arrives to turn their afterlife upside down?

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
ANDROMEDA (F, African, Middle-Eastern, Latin, Asian 20-30) : Greek (North African) princess of legend. She is in her early twenties, sweetly innocent–almost a child. A true ingenue.
HELOISE (F, Caucasian, 30's/40's) : Twelfth Century nun. She is in her early thirties and wears a severe nun’s habit. She has a dark sense of humor. French accent a plus but not necessary. Long Hair (must be at least shoulder length).
JOAN OF ARC (F, Any ethnicity, 18-30): Prophet. She is a tiny woman with strong convictions about religion. French accent a must.
OPHELIA / KAREN CARPENTER / FRIDA KAHLO (F, Any ethnicity, 18-30): Doubles as Shakespeare's Ophelia, 1970's singer Karen Carpenter and as Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Must be good with classic text. Dance background, facility with movement a plus. Must be able to sing in the style of Karen Carpenter.
CLEOPATRA (F, African, Middle-Eastern Descent, 20-40): Empress and Mother. She is a dark-skinned, sultry woman who possesses a unique beauty with a sharp wit. She believes she is a goddess among mortals.
QUEEN VICTORIA (F, Caucasian, 60's-80's): Queen of England. She is a severe woman of large stature who believes in order and rules. Forever in mourning for her Albert. British accent a must.
ANAIS NIN (F, Caucasian, 30s-40s): Writer, philosopher, analyst, and poet from the twentieth century. A true feminist, and a sultry decadent lover. Anaïs comments on everything and knows nothing. French accent a must.
LORD ALDRED BOSIE DOUGLAS (M, Caucasian, Late 20's): Poet. Bosie is well dressed and handsome. In love with Oscar Wilde but first and foremost with himself. British accent a must.
MARC ANTONY (M, Any Ethnicity, 30's-40's): Lover. Antony is a strong, hearty man with a forlorn nature. Dance background, facility with movement a plus.
